"AGT Receives Contract From National Institute of Health"

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has elected to continue funding Atmospheric Glow Technologies, Inc.'s (OCBB: AGWT) (AGT) effort in developing a new medical device sterilization process based upon its patented One Atmosphere Uniform Glow Discharge Plasma (OAUGDP™). The emerging market for sterilization of multi-component devices coupled with stringent environmental regulations creates an opportunity for an alternative environmentally friendly process. The overall goal of this work is to develop a safe, low-temperature demonstration prototype that can be used to sterilize various medical devices. This multi-year funded effort is an extension of AGT's successful Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract also funded by NIH.
